Arrowhead Industrial Services (EU), AISEU, is a notified body in Europe by the European Commission for the following Directives:
- TPED (2010/35/EU) – Transportable Pressure Equipment.
- PED (2014/68/EU) – Pressure Equipment.
- Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive (TPED)
This directive applies to transportable pressure equipment, new and existing.
It also applies to any valves and accessories attached to them, which are manufactured, sold, and operated in the EU. Such pressure equipment is used for the transport of dangerous goods. Manufacturers and operators must show compliance with legislation for each specific type of product.
AISEU is an accredited European Notified Body for transportable pressure equipment, authorized to inspect, test, and certify such vessels, can grant type approvals, and perform periodic inspections of pressure receptacles for the transport of gases, according to the TPED and the European Agreement on the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road, ADR.
This directive aims to ensure the safety and free movement of transportable pressure equipment within the European Union.
Arrowhead is accredited to certify pressure equipment for the transport of dangerous goods such as, cylinders, tubes, pressure drums, cryogenic pressure receptacles, cylinder batteries (ADR 6.2).
AISEU can certify cylinders and cylinder frames intended for the transport of a gas by road (ADR) and placed on the European Union (EU) market.
With our type approval certificate, manufacturers can affix the conformity mark (or Pi-mark) to their products.
We can also carry out the necessary inspections and controls before pressure vessels are placed on the market, as well as their periodic control.

- Pressure Equipment Directive (PED)
AISEU is an accredited notified body for PED and can grant type approvals and perform periodic inspections of pressure receptacles. We can conduct conformity assessment of products according with the applicable categories (I, II, III and IV).
This Directive covers pressure equipment and assemblies which are new to the Union market when they are placed on the market and covers stationary equipment.
Applies to the design, manufacture and conformity assessment of pressure equipment and assemblies with a maximum allowable pressure greater than 0.5 bar and not covered by the SPV directive. The PED is divided into several categories according to the risks and associated hazards.
Pressure equipment includes vessels, piping, safety accessories and pressure accessories, including, where applicable, elements attached to pressurised parts, such as flanges, nozzles, couplings, supports, lifting lugs.
This regulation also covers Cylinders used as breathing apparatus (diving cylinders, SCBA, etc) or as portable fire extinguishers (≤ 20 Kg) and placed on the European Union (EU) market.
We are capable to support you with design examination, material approval or manufacture and conformity assessment of certain types of pressure equipment. We also provide certification allowing the manufacturer to apply the CE mark to their products.
